| The Chapter keeps abreast of major developments and changes
within the audit profession at the local and international
level. Strategies are implemented to address the needs of the
profession in this rapidly changing environment and to foster a strong
cohesive groups within the membership.
The IIA's motto, Progress Through Sharing,
the professional standards, certification program, and the IIA goals are
promoted within Chapter activities. The Chapter serves the profession by
enhancing the recognition, understanding, and support for internal
auditing through conference hosting, member participation on
international committees, and support of the CIA designation.
The chapter develops strategies to motivate
members to participate in chapter activities. The increased involvement
of members in chapter activities through committee structure,
participation at meetings and seminars, and promoting Internal Auditing
within the community is an essential objective.
The Chapter uses technology to communicate and
educate its members.
The Chapter promotes the profession of Internal
Auditing at colleges and universities by visiting schools, promoting
Internal Audit courses, internship programs, and corporate sponsorship
of the Chapter's student activities. The Chapter enhances the image of
the Internal Audit profession by developing and participating in
community service projects. |
